Spring is finally stretching its legs. The evenings are lighter, the air feels softer, and staying in suddenly seems a questionable life choice. And we’ve taken over one of the loveliest rooms in Mayfair for the evening, so perhaps put down the remote.
Join us at the beautiful Bar at 12 Hay Hill, a discreet Mayfair members’ club steeped in history (it has survived both fire and the Blitz, which feels rather reassuring). Inside, it’s all warm lighting, marble, rich fabrics and deep armchairs – the sort of room that makes conversation easy.
On arrival, a Tidal Rum cocktail. This is not umbrella-in-a-glass rum. It’s a golden Caribbean blend, finished in Jersey with rare coastal botanicals gathered on full moon tides (yes, really). Subtle, smoky, intriguing. It sounds faintly mad. It tastes quietly extraordinary.
The format is simple: charming, single, well-put-together people, and actually there to meet someone rather than stare at their phones. Music low enough to talk. A bar worth lingering at. And the possibility, always the possibility, of meeting someone unexpectedly wonderful.
If you’ve joined us before, you know the atmosphere. If you haven’t, you’ll be warmly welcomed. To keep the balance, each guest brings a guest of the opposite sex.

Can I come alone? Absolutely. Many guests arrive solo, especially members. Our hosts make warm introductions, so you’ll never feel awkward or out of place.
Are there equal numbers of men and women? Yes, always. This is our biggest USP, and we take it seriously. Every event has a perfectly balanced mix.
Do I need to be a member? No. Non-members can attend most events by bringing a guest of the opposite sex. Members (click to membership page) can attend solo and get priority booking.
Who is Rendezvous for? Single professionals 40+ (we also run 30+ events). Think warm, witty, open to possibility.
Where are events held? Central and West London, Mayfair, Marylebone, Soho, Chelsea. Always stylish, conversation-friendly venues.
